My favs are Lugburz, Let Mortal Heroes..., and Dol Guldur.

Old Morning's Dawn is great too.

Listened to Oath Bound again and it's definitely my least favorite.

Ordered Lugburz and Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame. Summoning is not a band that I listen to so much anymore, but I could not pass up on getting these.

Holy hell, when did this hype start? I knew the original pressings sold out pretty quick. Got them all on gold (simply because they were in the shop long before the newsletters went out) but I just checked Discogs and they're all going for around 100 (40 for the EPs) median prices. Didn't they press around 1000 copies for each?

On one hand, I'm annoyed that I splashed out for coloured vinyl of this stuff thinking that it was the only way to get it on vinyl. I hate coloured vinyl.

On the other hand, I can probably sell the coloured ones to fanboys for more than enough to finance re-buying the whole collection on black vinyl, and filling in the 2-3 I missed.

On the other hand those coloured ones look cool and fits to the cover arts. Saying as a non fan of coloured vinyls.

Nightshade Forests is fantastic...though, not apparently on vinyl...it might even edge Dol Guldor for me.

I bought a copy of oath bound, and if anyone wants to trade a colored version for this black version, I would be willing to trade/maybe throw some cash in for it. Hit my PM. at this point just excited to have a copy of Oath Bound without having to pay $70.

I have a copy of it on gold vinyl so it at least was part of the original pressing, not sure what the other color was. I didn't get Mortal Heroes... or Lugburz first time around, but I have less money to throw around than I did a couple of years ago and I already have them on cd so not sure if I'll bother picking up black copies of those 2.

Oath Bound is the only album of theirs I could never get into, surprised to see it getting so much praise, maybe I should give it another shot.

To be 100% honest I very well may be "over rating" Oath Bound. But it's special to me because it was the first Summoning record that came out since I had started listening to them (I'm young. I was 16 when Oath Bound came out). So I was just excited that they were releasing something new and I anticipated it quite a bit. Honestly the only song I think on there that is "essential Summoning" is the closer, Land of the Dead.

Yeah, I think Oath Bound and Let Mortal Heroes are their two weakest...they just feel like they are in a rut. I actually thought Old Morning's Dawn was an improvement on both of them.

Really? I like Mortal Heroes way more than Old Morning's Dawn. Songs like "South Away" really make it a more guitar driven record, and I like that direction.

Bought em all. I have a little bit of extra money so I figured why not.

Hail Summoning
