What is the best Mobile app for metal music? I know there is Apple Music (which I use now and kinda sucks, not much undergound releases there), Spotify, Deezer, Tidal etc but which one has the best selection of underground metal?

I'm a Spotify user, it's pretty great, with a lot of good bands. The offline mode is useful when you don't have any WiFi.
You should try the trial month.

There is also a bandcamp app, but it did'nt work well.

If you looking for underground metal, you should try Bandcamp.

I'd say SOUNDCLOUD app

If you "follow" bands and especially labels (and they're all there) you get many recent UG stuff, recenty released or soon to be released.

IRON BONEHEAD in particular is extremely active on Soundcloud.
Same for DARK DESCENT, often posting full albums
Harald Mentor's webradio is pretty wicked too.

If you want to listen to Classics however Soundcloud sucks.
For Classics/not too UG bands SPOTIFY would indeed be the most appropriate

Download 10 albums and transfer them into your phone, change them whenever you want. Or just create a playlist with 100 random songs from different bands.

Bandcamp is annoying. Often it will play one album then shut down and tell me to "open my wallet", so I can't even sample other releases from the same label. I don't think it does this on the NWN bandcamp though, must be a setting.

Also I think I tried it on phone a few times and it wouldn't sequence to the next track if the screen was off.

yeah that's my method, I'll change it up every week or three. Takes a coupla minutes and I don't have to wade through crap or listen to ads or spend money.

It's a setting that I think is the default now, so you have to go in and change it manually.

There must also be a setting on Bandcamp to remain hidden because Profound Lore's page and releases are impossible to find on there unless you have a direct link or search through Google. I can't understand why anyone would want that, though.

I'm not up on what the kids are using these days so I still use Soulseek, but I've heard good things about Grindr.
