I've seen a few great FoG records in peoples' collections here.
How about some discussion on this amazing & unclassifiable band?

edit: (talking about the Swiss one here).

I have their second album on CD (Toxic Voodoo) and it's really fuckin' cool! I'd love to get a hold of their first sometime...

Are we talking about the same band? You mean the grind/noise band from Switzerland with a member of Messiah?

The other Fear of God was terrible from what I remember.

There's a discography DLP of the grind band released by a Brazilian label. I'm pretty sure these was already a thread about this a while back.

I remember when the discography cd of the 2lp was supposed to be put out by Mike Patton.

This is the kind of raw whirlwind shit that I miss. The clean blasts and NASUM-clean production of today needs to fuck off. I have some mp3s of a FOG reunion rehearsal and it was still pretty violent, but I guess it didn't work out.

Fear of god! When I was young I read very much about the band, but never found something to buy. Last yeat I found a re-release cd in an italian shop. 15 years to get happy... A friend of mine saw them live (casually) during a reunion show. He says it was amazing.

The 7" basically got me into grindcore when I was in high school. Classic record/band.

@uncolored: only parts of it. There are so many bootleg tapes, EPs, LPs existing...
Erich once maintained a good Fear Of God webpage (http://www.fearofgod.ch), but this has sadly been vanished.

Three decent discography webpages:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_of_God
http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=65513260&blogID=102711443
http://www.artnotcrime.net/dp/disco.htm

Though, Erich's webpage had more detailed explanations of different pressings and how to distinguish them from bootlegs. The funny thing is: Bootlegs were also made by ex-bandmembers. That's why Erich is quite pissed about a certain Thomas Molch/Mölch...
